Donna Brazile declines to address Jill Biden's stroke comments, tells Democrats to focus on future elections

Former DNC acting chair Donna Brazile declined to comment on Jill Biden's recent CBS interview, in which the former first lady said she feared her husband was having a stroke during his June 2024 debate against Donald Trump. When pressed by Fox News Digital, Brazile said she would not focus on the past and directed her attention to the 2026 midterms and beyond.

Jill Biden told CBS that while watching President Joe Biden's June 27, 2024, debate performance against then-candidate Donald Trump, she feared he was suffering a medical emergency and thought he might be having a stroke. Her comments renewed attention on questions about Biden's age and cognitive health that circulated throughout the 2024 campaign cycle.

When Fox News Digital asked Brazile to respond to Jill Biden's remarks, she declined. "I don't want to talk about Jill Biden right now," she said. Speaking in the third person, Brazile added: "Donna Brazile will not focus on the past. Donna Brazile want to focus on the future."

Brazile, who served as interim DNC chair in 2011 and again in 2016, argued that Democrats had already addressed the Biden question in 2024 when the then-president ended his reelection bid and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. "We made that decision in 2024 when the then-president decided to step down and pass the torch to Kamala," she said.
