Rep. Jasmine Crockett's FIRE PAC released a list of 14 endorsed candidates that did not include James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Texas, who defeated Crockett in the March 2026 Democratic primary by a margin of 52.4% to 46.2%. Former Rep. Susan Wild of Pennsylvania responded with a sharp post on X criticizing Crockett. Crockett responded publicly, noting she had personally congratulated Talarico after the primary and endorsed him the day after the results were finalized.

FIRE PAC: 14 endorsees
Talarico not on list

Crockett's Feuling Individual Rights Everywhere (FIRE) PAC posted an endorsement list Monday that named 14 candidates — all at the state or local level — without including Talarico or Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa. The omission drew immediate attention from former Rep. Susan Wild, who had served three terms in Congress representing Pennsylvania.

Wild X post critique

Wild posted on X: "F--- her. That's all I can say. And that statement has nothing to do with blind loyalty to Dems. It has everything to do with her being a narcissistic drama queen who has used her platform (such as it is) only to advance herself. Karma will suck." Wild characterized the omission as Crockett placing personal reservations above the party's broader electoral interests in Texas.

Crockett pushed back publicly, pointing to a statement she issued the morning after the primary in which she called Talarico to congratulate him and pledged Democratic unity. "Texas is primed to turn blue, and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person," she wrote at the time. On Monday she added: "Y'all are corny! Keep receipts. I'll be happy when people either give a damn about FACTS or news media goes back to the news instead of deciding to ride the tabloid lane. NOW FOR THE 1000th time maybe write an article about KEN F*in PAXTON."
